Di akun Instagram, bule itu bernama Brenton McArthur, biasa dipanggil Abbas. Dia menulis profesinya sebagai web developer dan seorang guru.
Melalui akun Instagramnya @brentonmcarthur, bule itu membantah telah meludahi Imam Masjid. Dia mengaku sebagai seorang muslim.
